Why I wanted to be part of the curling tour :
I have very much enjoyed curling since I started a decade ago and have worked hard to develop and play better each year (since I was a late starter at the old age of 37 years old before taking up the sport) and while I’m still fit and well I want to do more curling at a higher standard. I would like to go on the Canadian Curling Tour to visit a country which has as much of a passion for curling as I do and I have distant relatives in British Columbia, Canada.
Hobbies / Interests :
- Curling – I curl as much as my work and on call allows every winter, generally 2-3 times a week, trying to support my club and curling locally as much as I can.
- Farming – I am a farmer’s son from Cumbria and have a small farm now myself with Blue Faced Leicester Sheep, Pygmy Goats, Alpacas, Honey Bees, Hens, Dogs and a cat
- Rugby – as a younger man I regularly played, now I enjoy spectating as much as I can
Horticultural Shows – over the last few years I have been supporting and showing vegetables, cut flowers, pot plants and honey at some of the local flower shows https://www.dundeeflowerandfoodfestival.com/
