  • President and Treasurer of Mid-Calder CC
Curling Achievements:
Some highs and lots of lows, nothing notable.

My daughter, Sophie curls at a high level and represents Scotland and has worked far harder for her blue blazer than I have!
Her top achievements to date are a Silver at World Juniors; Silver and Bronze at the Ladies Europeans and two Golds and a Silver at the Scottish Ladies Championships.  She has been in the Scottish team at the World Ladies three times, although Covid scuppered them twice.

Why I wanted to be part of the curling tour: Being able to take part on the tour is a fantastic opportunity to play some competitive curing, meet and make new friends and see new parts of the world.

Hobbies/Interests:
I have never been a natural sportsman, but I do enjoy playing golf (badly), curling (ability tbc), cycling (completed a min of 250 miles a month for 24 consecutive months now) and watching rugby (with a few of beers).   I also really enjoy trying out local food and drink, all for the purposes of business research of course!
